About the position

As a security specialist focusing on personnel security, you, along with your colleagues, contribute to protecting the electricity supply by ensuring that Svenska kraftnät recruits reliable and loyal employees from the perspective of the security protection legislation. You will conduct security assessments of individuals applying for positions classified as security-sensitive. In this role, you will perform background checks, interviews, and investigations, as well as manage registry checks. In addition to conversations, a significant part of the work involves processing and analyzing the information gathered to provide recommendations to decision-makers regarding the candidate's suitability.

The role also includes participating in Svenska kraftnät's work with position analysis, which forms the basis for which positions within the authority should be classified as security-sensitive. You will help contribute to the vital protection of critical infrastructure in a changing world. Together with the team, you will continuously work to develop our security assessment processes and methods to ensure that our work is effective and that the processes comply with applicable legislation and guidelines. In your role, you will have many internal contacts within the authority, and you will have the opportunity to further develop within the area of security protection both within the unit and through close collaboration with knowledgeable colleagues from various specialist competencies and backgrounds.

The unit for Operations and Security Protection belongs to the Security section of the Security and Preparedness department. Currently, there are 12 people working in the unit along with the unit manager, with a mix of both permanent employees and consultants.

About you

Mandatory requirements:

Personal qualities: In this recruitment, great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities. You will succeed in the role of security protection specialist because you are a responsible and judicious person who enjoys contributing to development and change. You are also a meticulous and analytical person who is results-oriented. As a person, you are confident and unpretentious, which means that you can stand by your decisions even when they are questioned, while also being able to reconsider them when necessary.

Education: Education in fields such as political science, behavioral science, security, or other work experience that the employer deems relevant for the position.

You also have:

• At least two years of current and relevant experience in conducting structured conversations in a professional context, such as interviews, investigations, personnel assessments, or similar.
• Relevant work experience in analyzing, processing, and making assessments of complex information sets.
• Good ability to speak, read, and write in Swedish and English.

Desirable:

• Relevant experience in working with security assessments according to security protection legislation.
• Current education in security protection.
• Experience in handling matters in government operations.
• Knowledge of and experience with the structure and processes of electricity supply.

Good to know

• The position is located in Sundbyberg.
• Some opportunity for remote work, two days/week when tasks allow.
• Travel occurs to a very limited extent in this position.
